John Charles Vickers

John Charles Vickers, of Miramichi, passed away peacefully with his family by his side, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, on Monday, July 14, 2025, at the age of 71.

Born in Miramichi, he was the son of the late James and Ruby (Silliker) Vickers. John was a millworker and retired from Lumber International.

He will be greatly missed by his wife Jackie (L'Huillier) Vickers of Miramichi; son John Vickers "J.V." (Brittni) of Fort McMurray, AB; sisters Betty White (Late David), Nancy McKinley (Lorne), Pam Vickers, Paula Vickers, and Barbara Jean MacDougall (Rick) all of Miramichi; brothers Frank Vickers and Jerry Vickers, both of Miramichi; grandson Tristan Vickers; and several nieces and nephews.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation. A funeral service will be held at Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel, on Friday, July 18, 2025, at 11 AM, with Father John Fraser officiating. Interment will take place in Paroisse de l'Ascension Cemetery, in Beaverbrook.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a memorial of one's choice.
