  • John Archibald Flett, of Upper Derby, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018, at Kelly' Special Care Home, at the age of 87.

    Born in New Britton, Connecticut, he was the son of the late Harvey and Mable (McEachern) Flett. He was retired from North Shore Construction, where he worked for 47 years, and was a member of St Peter's Anglican Church, Millerton.

    He will be greatly missed by his children Carolyn (Sean Dawson) of Riverview, Roger Flett of Moncton, Linda White (late Leo) of Millerton, and Glenn Matchett (Betty Lou) of Bathurst; two sisters Eleanor Hoglund of Kingston, ON, and Edna Manderville (late Sterling) of Miramichi; one sister-in-law Eva Flett (late Harold) two grandchildren Melyssa and Kaitlyn; and many nieces and nephews.

    Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Noreen (Dickson) Flett, his brother Harold Flett, his sister Ruth Flett, and son-in-law Leo White.

    The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Friday, June 22, 2018, from 2 pm until 6 pm. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, June 23, 2018, at 10 am, from Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel, with Wendell Gregan officiating.

    As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to Saunders Cemetery, or to a memorial of one's choice.
