James Edward Astle

James “Jimmy” Edward Astle passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 60.

Born in Miramichi, he was the son of the late Marlon Astle and Anne (Lindle) Astle.

He will be greatly missed by his daughters, Ally Michaud (Rod Michaud) of Dieppe and Ashleigh Kenny (Jordan Couture) of Miramichi; his sister, Kim Astle of Sunny Corner; his brothers, Wesley Astle (Debbie) of Sunny Corner and Wyatt Astle (Aileen) of Cambridge, ON; his aunt Emmie Willmott of Picton, ON; two grandchildren, Mila and Madi; as well as several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his parents and several aunts and uncles.

With heartfelt appreciation, the family thanks Clark Estey for his loyal friendship, compassion, and the many years of support he gave Jimmy.

In keeping with his wishes, there will be no visitation. A private celebration will be held at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Miramichi SPCA, or a memorial of one's choice.
