  • Janice (Barrieau) Malley, of Douglasfield, passed away at her residence, on Monday, May 20, 2013, at the age of 68.

    Born in Miramichi, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Gladys (Donovan) Barrieau and was a member of St Patrick's Roman Catholic Church.

    She will be sadly missed by her husband Edmund Malley; one daughter Lori (Paul Wormell) of Miramichi; one son Robert (Jennifer) of Mirmaichi; four sisters Anne (Pat Butler), Nancy (Ken McIntosh), Pamela (Tony Layton), and Cathy (Paul Hamilton) all of Miramichi; five brothers George (Marion), Ron, Pete, Gerry (Barb), and Edward (Helen) all of Miramichi; five grandchildren Jillian, Brittany, Alexandra, Hailey, and Jared; one great granddaughter Rileigh; and several nieces and nephews.

    Besides her parents, Janice was predeceased by her sister-in-law Julie Barrieau.

    The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Tuesday, May 21, 2013, from 7 to 9 pm, and on Wednesday, May 22, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, May 23, 2013, at 11 am, from St Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, in Nelson, with Father Jim McQuade officiating.

    As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to St Patrick's Memorial Fund, or to the Extra Mural Program.
