  • James (Jim) Foley Casey, of Miramichi, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2013, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 64.

    Born in Newcastle, he was the son of the late Clarence and Cecilia (Collins) Casey.

    He worked as an electrician and was a member of the Most Pure Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, in Barnaby.

    He will be sadly missed by his daughter Julia Casey (Paul White) of Fredericton; two sons Jason (Shelley) of Miramichi and Michael (Pam) of Moncton; five sisters Cheryl Foley of Miramichi, Leta Sullivan of Miramichi, Cathy Geikie (Weldon) of Miramichi, Faye Gouveia (Fred) of Toronto, and Nan Regan (Jackie) of Miramichi; four grandchildren Emma, Conner, Tori, and Sara; and several nieces and nephews.

    Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother Carl Casey.

    The family will receive relatives and friends from Most Pure Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, in Barnaby, on Saturday, December 21, 2013, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.

    Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December. 23, 2013, at 2 pm, from Most Pure Heart of Mary Roman Catholic Church, in Barnaby, with Father Dan Bastarache officiating.

    As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to a memorial of one's choice.
