James Denny

February 2, 1938 — December 8, 2025

James (Jimmy) Denny, Sr. of Natoaganeg, passed away at Vondy House, on Monday, December 8, 2025, at the age of 87.

Born in Newcastle, NB, he was raised in the community of Laketon, NB, returning to his beloved Natoaganeg in his early thirties to start and raise a family.

He will be greatly missed by his life partner Jacqueline “Jackie” Arseneault of Miramichi; his sons, James Jr. (Ingrid Godin), George, and daughter Vera (Roger Sherrard) as well as his grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son Norman Denny and his two sisters, Irene and Madeline.

Visitation will take place at Northumberland Funeral Home on Friday, December 12, 2025, from 1 pm to 1:45 pm. The funeral service will follow at 2 pm, at Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel with Father Cornelius Ngurukwem, S.M.M.M. officiating.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
