Irene Baisley Hallihan, of Wayerton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at home, on November 28, 2024, at the age of 84.
Born in Miramichi, she was the daughter of the late Doug Foran and Theresa (Estey) Foran. She worked at the Royal Bank, Estey’s Fish & Chips and was a member of St James Roman Catholic Church.
Irene was a lady of great faith. Every Sunday after church she would prepare breakfast for all the family to gather.
She loved to bake and share her goodies with family and friends. She had a passion for gardening, flowers, feeding her wildlife, but her most love of all was dancing.
Her home was a welcome center for all the neighborhood children and she had a wonderful, compassionate way of caring for others. Her love will be greatly missed. The family would like to acknowledge the incredible staff of Extra Mural, Dr Kpogo, Dr Praba, and the 3rd floor nursing staff at Miramichi Regional Hospital. An extra special thanks to our amazing family member, Beth Baisley R.N, who provided the most amazing care to our mom.
She will be greatly missed by her husband Lyman Hallihan; daughters Gertrude (Trudy) of Trout Brook, Gloria (Rickey Lynch) of Miramichi, stepdaughter Kelly (Brad Smith) of Ontario; sons George (Michelle) of Wayerton, Greg (Wendy) of Grand Prairie, AB, Gordon (Teresa) of Miramichi, Geoff (Paula) of Trout Brook, Gary (Faye) of Miramichi, stepson Jason (Kathy) of Ontario; sisters Patricia Baisley (late Gerald) of Wayerton, Helen Mullin (Ben) of Trout Brook, Delorous Hare (Late Norman) of Miramichi, and Brenda Allain (Larry) of Trout Brook; sister-in-law Connie Foran of Miramichi; brothers Sonny (Judy) of Wayerton, Reggie (Vaunda) of Sevogle, Harry (Late Joan) of Trout Brook, Rickey (Donna) of C.I Road, and Blake (Sandy) of Wayerton; grandchildren Keith, Michael, Derek, Dylan, Brandon, Brittany, Billy, Kyle, Rebecca, Katelyn, Jantzan, Mariah, Sydney, Breanna, Alison, Dolton, and Lilah; and great grandchildren Brianne, Sophie, Louie, Maverick, Luke, Mason, Gracie, Albert, Sofyia, Carter, EJ, Kole, and Jackson.
