Hudson Emery Scott, of Miramichi, passed away on Tuesday, March 14, 2017, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 89.

Born on December 29, 1927, in Sillikers, he was the son of the late Charles and Annie (Travis) Scott. Before his retirement, he worked as a barber and custodian and was an accomplished violinist. He also wrote music and taught violin lessons.

He will be greatly missed by his brother Bernard Scott of Miramichi; sister Elmira McKay of Miramichi; and 16 nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers David and Percy, and sisters Lottie Mullin, Lavina Marks, and Ida Jardine.

At Hudson's request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will take place on Friday March 17, 2017, at 11 am, from Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a memorial of one's choice.
