Helen Marie (Allison) Waye, of Miramichi, passed away peacefully at Hospice Miramichi, on Friday, February 23, 2024, at the age of 90.

Born in Miramichi, she was the daughter of the late Stillman and Angeline (MacDonald) Allison.

She will be greatly missed by her children Stephen Allison (Elaine) of Cape Breton, NS, Bernie Allison (Meliza) of Calgary, AB, Perry Waye (Bonnie) of Ontario; Susan Watling (Late Michael) of Miramichi and Gloria "Kitt" Waye (Mark) of Miramichi; six sisters Dorothea (Late James Nowlan) of Mount Saint Joseph Nursing Home, Kitty McAllister (Gerald) of Thunder Bay, ON, Grace Carleton (Courtney) of Sunny Corner, Leva Porter (Ralph) of Sunny Corner, Treva Melvin (Late Brian) of Thunder Bay, ON, and Della Hunt (Barry) of Miramichi; two brothers Ted Allison (Lois) of Miramichi and Glen Allison (Carol) of Thunder Bay, ON, nine grandchildren Stephanie, Tara-Lee, Chasity, Natasha, Michelle, Robert, Fallon, Jordan, and Brody; many great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Perley Waye; infant son Victor; sisters Thelma, Shirley, and Betty; and brothers Arnott Allison and Merton MacDonald.

Visitation will take place on Sunday, February 25, 2024, at Northumberland Funeral Home, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. A graveside service will take place in Boom Road Cemetery at a later date.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society.
