The death of Helen Elizabeth Bushey, widow of the late Manuel Bushey occurred at the Miramichi Regional Hospital Wednesday evening at the age of 92.

Born in South Branch she was the daughter of the late Daniel and Annie (Connors) Shortall.

Helen was a teacher in South Branch and continued teaching / tutoring upon moving to Nelson.

She was a past member of St. Patrick's C.W.L. and supported community events and enjoyed attending many functions.

She truly enjoyed her friendship with fellow neighbours at the Vincent McCarthy Manor.

She is survived by six daughters Nora Ann (Wayne) McKibbon of Kamloops B.C., Cathy (Stephen) Adams of Miramichi, Mary (Ronald) McCormick of Blackville,Teresa (John) Grondin of Fredericton, Margie Goodin,of Fredericton and Patty ( Stephen) Pomeroy of Quispamsis. One son Chris (Lou Lloyd) of Miramichi, and her daughter-in-law Patsy Bushey of Miramichi, three sisters Marg Doherty of Fredericton, Kay Brown of Rexton, and Mary Wood of Rowley Mass., U.S., one brother Paul (Mary) Shortall of Sussex.

Grandchildren Tracey,Terri-Lynn, Candace, Kelley, Craig, Joey, Jenna, Jocelyn, Daniel, Erica, Bruce, Jill, Evan, and Lauren. Great Grandchildren Drew, Eliot, Sarah, Cole, Seth, Travis, Andi, Quinn, Wyatt, Easton, Miller and Leah.

She was predeceased by her son George Bushey, sister Ruth Grattan, brothers Raymond and James Shortall, sister-in-law Mable Shortall and grandson Scott McKibbon.

The Family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home on Monday, November 27 from 2-4 and 7-9.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 28 at 11 am from St. Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Nelson, with Father Arnie Hachey officiating,

Burial will be in the church cemetery.
