Gordon Roy Raymond, of Miramichi, passed away on Tuesday, June 10, 2014, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 83.

He was the son of the late Perce and Grace (Burgess) Raymond. He worked as a School Principal until his retirement and was a member of the New Brunswick Teacher's Association.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Mary (Howe) Raymond of Miramichi; two daughters Linda (Dan LaBerge) of Derby, and Lois Raymond of Miramichi; one brother George Raymond (Dolores) of Saint John; three grandchildren Melanie (David McCarthy), Matthew Janes, and Sandra (Gregg Bruce); one great grandson George Bruce; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter Janet Janes and sister Norma Woods.

At the family's request, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will take place on Saturday, June 21, 2014, at 11 am, from Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Dale Greer officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations made to the SPCA would be appreciated by the family.
