Gloria Lynn Ward

Gloria Lynn Ward, of Natoaganeg (Eel Ground), passed away at her residence on Sunday, December 14, 2025, at the age of 53.

Born in Miramichi, NB, she was the daughter of the late Anthony Ward and Theresa (Vicaire) Ward. Gloria was a proud indigenous woman with a deep love for her culture. In her spare time, she enjoyed reading books that explored indigenous history.

She will be greatly missed by her son Justin Ward, sisters Lisa Vicaire and Rose Ward, brothers Alvin Ward and David Ward, grandchildren Axel and Amiah Ward, her special friend, the dog Luna, as well as several nieces and nephews

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her sisters, Mary Catherine Ward and Deborah Ann Ward.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, December 18, 2025 from 6 pm to 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, December 19, 2025, at 10 am, at St. Joachim’s R.C. Church, in Eel Ground, with Father Cornelius Ngurukwem officiating.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a memorial of one's choice.
