It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Geraldine Hawks of Miramichi, NB at the Campbellton Regional Hospital on Monday, February 4, 2013, at the age of 93.

She will be sadly missed by her sister Josephine McAllindon (Colepaugh) of Victoria, BC and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Geraldine was predeceased by her husband Harold, her sister Mary and her brothers Edmond, Burtis (Carmel), Alvin (Coleen).

Born in Miramichi, NB on November 8, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Herman Colepaugh and the late Alice Murray and was raised in Upper Derby.

Geraldine graduated as an RN from the Hotel Dieu in Chatham, NB and worked in nursing in the Montreal area.

She retired to Douglastown with Harold in 1983.

Geraldine (Geri) was a dedicated volunteer for Meals on Wheels, Public Health and Senior Transit.

She immensely enjoyed the many hours she shared with friends as a member of the Senior Card Club of Derby.

Her love of all animals (particularly dogs), reading, knitting, crocheting and gardening, were only surpassed by her love of family, friends and faith.

The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home on Friday, February 8, 2013, from 7 to 9 pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 9, 2013, at 11 am, from Saint Samuel's Roman Catholic Church, with Father Maurice Swift officiating.

Interment will take place in Saint Bridget's Roman Catholic Church Cemetery, in Renous, at a later date.
