Gerald Girouard

Gerald Joseph Girouard, of Miramichi, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 7, 2023, at the Moncton City Hospital, at the age of 68.

Born in Chatham Head, he was the son of the late John and Anna (Breau) Girouard. He was a longshoreman, and a member of Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church.

He will be greatly missed by his wife Irma (Kelly) Girouard; his daughter Mary Woods (Leo) of Miramichi; two sisters Anne Forbes (Billy) of Douglastown and Mary Savoy (Donald) of Renous; four brothers Roger (Mariette) of Chatham Head, Ronnie (Larry) of Ontario, Robert (Darlene) of Bushville, and Larry (Kim) of Chatham; three grandchildren Alex, Brianna, and Gemma; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sister Irene Sargeant.

The family received relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home & Crematorium, on Monday, March 13, 2023, from 6 to 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Tuesday, March 14, 2023, at 10 am. Interment will take place in the church cemetery at a later date.
