Gerald “Gerry” Thomas Morris, of Miramichi, passed away at his residence on Friday, June 19, 2020, at the age of 63.

Born in Miramichi, he was the son of the late Frank and Carmel (Fitzpatrick) Morris. He was the owner of Morris Wholesale and Deals 4U and a member of Saint Mary’s Roman Catholic Church.

Gerry enjoyed watching sports,especially the Toronto Maple Leafs.

His love for the outdoors hunting, fishing, canoeing and snowmobiling with his buddies are memories they will cherish forever.

He loved getting away to the camp to be with the family especially his grandchildren.

Fishing Salmon was Gerry’s passion, and he was not only a member of the Atlantic Salmon Federation but a great supporter as well.
He will be greatly missed by his wife Cindy (Chapman) Morris of Miramichi; daughter Angela (Jeff Woodward) of Bedford, NS; son Jeffrey (Sheryl) of Miramichi; brother Ronnie (Yvette) of Fredericton; grandchildren Benjamin, Brookelyn and Blaire, three nephews and two nieces

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother David Morris.

Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Friday, July 10, 2020, at 2 pm, from St Mary's Roman Catholic Church, with Father Antonio Reyes officiating.

Please note: those wishing to attend the service will be required to wear a mask at Saint Mary's.

In Gerry’s memory donations may be made to the Miramichi Salmon Association or the SPCA.
