George Cortes

George Cortes, of Miramichi, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024, at the age of 59..

Born in Newcastle, NB, he was the son of the late Joseph and Barbara (Duffy) Cortes.

George loved his walks, sports, education, music and good conversation infused with his intellect and discernable laugh. 

George is survived by his sister Sheila Shepherd (Rob) of Saint John, and Tracey Cortes (Perry) of Ontario; brothers Kenny Cortes (Tammy) of Williamstown, Shawn Cortes of Williamstown, and Jason Cortes (Melanie) of Maple Glen; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers Stephen Cortes and Douglas Cortes.

Visitation will be held at Northumberland Funeral Home on Monday, November 4, 2024, from 12 to 1:45 pm. The funeral service will follow at 2 pm, from Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Paul Hambrook officiating. Interment will take place in Williamstown Country Cemetery.
