Garth Matchett

Garth Matchett, of Miramichi, passed away on Wednesday, February 21, 2024, at the age of 52.

Born in Miramichi, he was the son of Josephine and Peter McGregor, and the late Winston Matchett. 

He will be greatly missed by his children Jessica Matchett, Tyrel Scott Matchett (Ki MacDermaid), Peter Wallace Matchett and his mother Roxanne Wallace; two sisters Nikki Matchett of Miramichi and Tammy Hepditch (David) of Port Elgin; nephews J.J. Matchett and Ritchie Matchett; and niece Jamie Hepditch.

Besides his father, he was predeceased by his brother Scott McGregor.

Visitation will take place at Northumberland Funeral Home, on Monday, February 26, 2024, from 12 pm to 1 pm. The funeral service will follow at 1 pm, with Rev. John Stewart officiating. 

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association or to the Miramichi SPCA.
