Franklin John Duthie

It is with great sadness the family of Franklin John Duthie announce his passing on Wednesday, August 6, 2025 at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 83.

Born in Miramichi he was the son of the late John and Margarite Duthie. He worked at Burchills plywood mill for 42 years and was a member of the Miramichi Worship Center.

He will be greatly missed by his wife Barbara; daughters: Sharlene (Jessie Vallillee) and Natalie (Gino Rossit) son: Daryl L. Newman sister: Clara Daley ( late Clarence) brother: Patrick Duthie (late Audrey), five grandchildren: Shauna Newman, Benjamin Forrest, Bradley Newman, Gillian Forrest, Jessie Vallillee; two great grandchildren: Wilson Simonson and Grayson Simonson

The family will receive relatives and friends Monday, August 11, 2025 from 4pm to 7pm. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, August 12, 2025 at 11am with Pastor Theo Craig officiating.

As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to I.W.K. Children’s Hospital or to a memorial of one’s choice.
