  • Erma Gladys (Mutch) Hamilton, wife of the late Eugene Hamilton, passed away on Monday, December 2, 2019, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age 91.

    Born in Lyttleton, she was the daughter of the late William and Annie (Waye) Mutch and together with her husband, they owned Hamilton’s Grocery in Lyttleton.

    She will be greatly missed by her daughter Sylvia Stewart (Sterling) of Miramichi; two sons Clyde Hamilton and Dale Hamilton (Twila) both of Miramichi; one sister Helen Sutherland of Lyttleton; one brother Vaughan Mutch (Betty) of Lyttleton; seven grandchildren Evan, Ryan, Wade, David, Denny, Jocelyn, and Jonathan; 16 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

    Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by two daughters-in-law Joyce Hamilton and Esther Hamilton; as well as 11 brothers and sisters.

    The family will receive relatives and friends from Lyttleton Pentecostal Church, on Wednesday, December 4, 2019, from 6 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, December 5, 2019, at 2 pm, from Lyttleton Pentecostal Church, with Pastor Vaden Sutherland officiating.

    As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Joyce Hamilton Scholarship Fund, or to a memorial of one’s choice.
