Eloise is survived by her sons Michael, Ottawa, ON; Alan, Vancouver, BC and daughters Lisa and Teri of Ottawa, Ontario and grandson, Josh (Amanda) and great-granddaughter, Carol. She is also survived by siblings – Shirley McLean (Richard) Saint John, NB; Ray (Karen) Renous, NB; Bill (Agathe) Tracadie, NB; Peggy Donovan (late Steve) Renous, NB and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Eloise was predeceased by her husband Harvey, daughter Carol, sisters Mary and Ruby, brothers Edward and James.

After graduating high school at 16, Eloise moved to her great-aunt’s in Chatham, NB to attend St Michael’s where she graduated with honors from Business. She began her career at the Bank of Nova Scotia in Chatham and continued in that field in numerous cities throughout Canada until her retirement in Angus, ON as Assistant Manager. She met the love of her life, Harvey, while he was stationed at CFB Chatham. From there, she travelled by ship to France where they were married. They were stationed in both France and Germany before returning to Canada to continue their journey and to add to their family. They showed their children that the world was theirs to see. Eloise had a deep personal relationship with her heavenly father and her faith was a constant comfort to her. She lived her faith every day, volunteering in both her community and church. She was a member of the Annunciation of the Lord Catholic Church, Gloucester, ON where both her and Harvey served as Ministers of Communion, Finance and various committees over the years.

Eloise was the heart of her family. Regardless of where Harvey’s career took them, she made a home for her children. To her, home was not four walls but where her family was. Her travels in Canada took her from Barrie, ON, Cold Lake, AB and Chatham, NB before settling in Ottawa, Eloise was a kind and caring person who made many lifelong friends. Eloise and Harvey spent many hours on the golf course and loved to tease each other.

A mass to celebrate Eloise’s life will be held Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at 11:00 AM at St Bridget’s Roman Catholic Church, Renous, NB with Father Paul Doucette officiating. At her request, she will be interred at St. Bridget’s Catholic Cemetery with her husband Harvey and daughter Carol.
