Ellen Janett (Jardine) MacCallum, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2018, at the Miramichi Senior Citizens Home, at the age of 84.

Born in Newcastle, she was the daughter of the late Weldon and Vada (Curtis) Jardine.

She worked as a Registered Nurse Assistant at Mount Saint Joseph before her retirement and was a member of Boom Road Pentecostal Church and the Women's Ministry.

She will be greatly missed by her daughters Diane (Thomas Abraham Asoyuf) of Miramichi and Rhonda (Frank Harris) of Cassilis; sons Richard MacCallum (Sally Brophy) of Blackville and Donald MacCallum (Tracey Lamkey) of Napan; sister Mae Giberson (Ken) of Miramichi; brother Raymond "Guy" Jardine (Joy) of Millerton; two sisters-in-law Eileen Jardine and Joan Jardine both of Lower Derby; six grandchildren Kelsey Carter, Craig MacCallum, Robyn Harris, Kelli Harris, Judd Asoyuf, and Saul Asoyuf; four great grandchildren Owen, Easton, Ella, and Vada; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband Bennett MacCallum, brothers Percy and Warren, and sister Rose Leavitt.

The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Friday, December 7, 2018, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 8, 2018, at 11 am, from Boom Road Pentecostal Church, with Pastor Fred Williams officiating.
