With broken hearts, we announce the passing of Elizabeth Lynn Ann Bishop of Miramichi, who passed away peacefully at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at the age of 58, surrounded by her loving family and dear friends.
Born in Miramichi, New Brunswick, Lynn was the beloved daughter of the late Diane (Giekie) MacDonald and Clifford Savoy.
In her later years, Lynn worked at the Payroll Centre. She treasured time spent with her family and friends, creating memories that will be cherished forever. A gifted and creative woman, she enjoyed knitting, quilting, sewing, and journaling. She also found great joy in participating in various groups at The Point Church. No matter which group she joined, Lynn quickly formed lasting friendships and made everyone feel like family.
Above all else, Lynn's greatest joy was being a mother. Her children were the centre of her world, and she loved them with all her heart.
Lynn will be deeply missed by her loving partner, Gord Wright of Miramichi; her children, Joshua Giekie of Moncton, NB, Emma Bishop (Seth Richard) of Amherst, NS, and Ethan Bishop of Saint John, NB; and her faithful furry companion, Murphy.
In addition to her parents, Lynn was predeceased by her grandparents and several aunts and uncles.
The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Losier and the staff of the Palliative Care Unit at the Miramichi Regional Hospital for the exceptional care, compassion, and kindness shown to Lynn and her loved ones throughout her journey.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation at Northumberland Funeral Home on Friday, July 3, 2026, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A celebration of Lynn's life will be held on Saturday, July 4, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. at The Point Church, with Pastor Geoff McLean officiating. A private graveside service will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Lynn's memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the SPCA.
Funeral arrangements are in the care of Northumberland Funeral Home & Crematorium, 102 Pleasant St., telephone (506) 622-7741.
