  • Mrs. Elizabeth Coughlan, passed away on Friday, February 4, 2011, at the Miramichi Hospital, at the age of 86.

    Born in Gray Rapids, she was the daughter of the late Ambrose and Laura (Mountain) Vickers. She was a homemaker and a member of the New Life Pentecostal Church, in Blackville. She also taught Sunday School for many years.

    Elizabeth is survived by four daughters Annie Burke of Gray Rapids, Shirley Ellis (Vern) of Fredericton, Connie Curtis (Wesley) of Gray Rapids, and Lori Jardine (Lyle) of Barnettville; one son Dale (Iona) of Gray Rapids; ten grandchildren Dean, Lenny and Trudy Burke, Angela and Forbie Ellis, Garley, Stacey and Ryan Curtis, and Linwood and Trina Coughlan; 21 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

    Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband George Coughlan;sisters May Eves and Mina Coughlan; brother Clarence Mountain and infant brother William (Bill); son-in-law David Burke; grandson Kirk Ellis; and great grandchild Dylan.

    The family will receive relatives and friends from New Life Pentecostal Church, in Blackville, on Sunday, February 6, 2011, from 7 to 9 pm, and on Monday, February 7, 2011, from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held from New Life Pentecostal Church, on Tuesday, February 8, 2011, at 2 pm, with Pastor McNair officiating.

    As expression of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, or to a memorial of one's choice.
