  • Edna Elizabeth (Flett) Manderville, of Miramichi, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 12, 2022, at Bridgeview Hall, at the age of 87.

Born in Newcastle, she was the daughter of the late Leslie and Mabel (MacEachern) Flett. She was a homemaker and a member of St Peter's Anglican Church.

Edna graduated from Derby Superior High in 1952. She was an extraordinary homemaker who always put her family first. She made every holiday extra special and we all looked forward to her chocolate cakes with boiled icing. Edna was an avid cross-stitcher and enjoyed music. Her and Sterling spent a lot of time in later years traveling with a group of friends to music events. They enjoyed traveling in their motor home, especially to their summer place, Saint Andrews.

She will be greatly missed by her children Gay McKinnon (Rusty) of Miramichi, Beth Manderville of Miramichi, James Manderville of Toronto, and Bruce Manderville (Keltie) of Victoria; 10 grandchildren, Stacy McCosh (Harry), Eric Goodfellow (Carrie), Ann Manderville (Ethan Pancer), Mark Manderville (Ailene Caleta Bermudo), Brendon Waye, Laura Rossit, Michael Manderville (Malia Allain), Sarah Manderville(Drew Steeves), Timmy Waye (Jessica Mallery) and Amy Rossit; 7 great grandchildren Owen, Kyle, Maria, Owen, Miah, Paisley and Luke; son-in-law Steven Waye; sisters-in-law Eva Flett, Paula Cassidy (Phil), and Florence Manderville; brother-in-law Gilbert Manderville (Carlene); special aunt Doris Manderville (Late Jack); and several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her loving husband of 56 years Sterling Manderville; her daughter Dawn Waye; infant great granddaughter McCosh; sisters Eleanor Hoglund (Late Wendell) and Ruth Flett; brothers Harold Flett and John Flett (Late Noreen); sister-in-law Janet Manderville; and brother-in-law Kenneth Manderville.

The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home on Wednesday, June 15, 2022, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022, at 1 pm, from St Peter's Anglican Church, with Father Laskey officiating.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Society, Miramichi Shriners, or to St Peter's Anglican Church.
