Donald Robert Waye

Donald Robert Waye, of Maple Glen, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by those he loved, on Friday, September 5, 2025, at the age of 70.

Born in Miramichi, he was the son of the late Carl and Myrtle (Walsh) Waye. Donnie was a heavy equipment operator and worked with Northern Construction in Grand Falls. 

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 46 years Pamela (Sobey) Waye of Maple Glen; three daughters, Sarah (Brent MacLeod) of Maple Glen, Terrilee (Jamie MacLeod) of C.I. Road, and Chelsea (Pierre-Luc Blanchard) of Jemseg; sister Carol Ann Gallant (David Gallant) of Saint John; stepbrother Fred Walsh (Laura) Calgary, AB; four grandchildren Travis, Hunter, Chase, and Callie; sisters-in-law Susan (Reg) Stewart, and Faye Waye; brothers-in-law Michael Sobey and Perry Sobey; several nieces and nephews; as well as his beloved dog Milo.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his daughter, Tobi Dawn Waye; his brother, Glendale Waye; and his parents-in-law, Budd and Carolyn Sobey.

Visitation will take place at Northumberland Funeral Home on Monday, September 8, 2025, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, at 2 pm, from Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Theo Craig officiating.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a memorial of one's choice.
