Derek Paul Mathers, of White Rapids, passed away at home surrounded by his family, on Sunday, August 15, 2021, at the age of 66.

Born in Ontario, he was the son of Joan (Mathers) Underhill and the late Ivan Underhill.

He worked as a welder for 32 years in Toronto, ON, before moving back home.

He will be greatly missed by his common-law spouse Juanita Curtis of White Rapids; mother Joan Underhill of Blackville; sister Rhonda of Ontario; stepson Jackson Greely of Blackville; son Daniel; half-sister Tammy; and half-brother Willie.

The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Thursday, August 19, 2021, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. The funeral service will be held at Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel, on Friday, August 20, 2021, at 1 pm.

As expressions of sympathy, donations made to the family would be appreciated.
