Deborah Laureen (Sturgeon) Gallan, of Doyles Brook, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, at Percy's Place, on Saturday, January 6, 2024, at the age of 72.
Born in Miramichi, she was the daughter of the late Freeman and Greta (Vickers) Sturgeon. She was a homemaker, entrepreneur, and a member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church, in Blackville.
She will be greatly missed by her husband Glenwood Gallan of Doyles Brook; daughter Amy Gallan Fitzpatrick (Allan) of Nowlanville; son Darcy Gallan (Amanda) of Doyles Brook, NB; sister Marilyn "Bobby" Jardine (Emery) of Blackville; two brothers Hayward Sturgeon (Late Vida) of Miramichi, and Alonzo Sturgeon (Vivian) of Derby; mother-in-law Ruth Gallan; two granddaughters Jordan Gallan (Nathan) of Moncton and Natasha Sturgeon (Marshall) of Miramichi; several great grandchildren, many cherished in-laws, nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her son Jason Gallan; brother Perce Sturgeon; and sisters Maxine Tozer and Joan MacNabb.
The family will receive relatives and friends from Holy Trinity Anglican Church, in Blackville, on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, from 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held at Holy Trinity Anglican Church, in Blackville, on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at 2 pm, with Father Gerry Laskey officiating. Interment will take place in Cochranville Cemetery at a later date.
As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Dr. Gerard and Judy Losier Foundation.
