David William Gulliver

David William Gulliver, age 73, of Miramichi, passed away suddenly on March 9, 2026.

He is survived by his wife, Ann (Jones) Gulliver; his children, Dale (Crystal) and Darcy (Heather); his grandchildren, Andrew, Hailey, Ivy and Rose, who knew him as “App”; his sisters, Connie (Pat) Hannah and Brenda (Bradley) Curtis; several nieces and nephews; and his fury sidekick, who was always by his side, Molly.

He was predeceased by his mother, Mary “Mayme” McFarlane; his biological father, Walter Gulliver; and is also remembered as a son of Neil “Nipper” O’Brien, who played a significant role in his life.

He was also predeceased by his sisters, Hazel, Susan and Ann, and his brother Kenneth.

David spent his career working in the mill industry. Starting at a young age at Burchill’s Mill, he later worked at Atcon Plywood, where he earned both his Red Seal Welding certification and his Millwright designation. He finished his career with EnviRem Organics and took pride in his work.

During his years at EnviRem Organics, David formed many lasting friendships and thought highly of the group of guys he worked alongside.

David enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and spending time at camp, but he was just as content at home. He was known for his quick wit and sense of humour and often had a comment ready.

He will be remembered for his sense of humour and his enjoyment of the woods and camp life.

Visitation will be held at Northumberland Funeral Home & Crematorium, 102 Pleasant Street, Miramichi, NB, from 6:00–8:00 PM on Wednesday, March 18, 2026. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2026, at 11 AM, at Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel, with Father John Fraser officiating.
