Darrell Gordon Lingley

Darrell Gordon Lingley, of Miramichi, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on April 5, 2026, at the age of 68 after a brief illness, surrounded by his siblings.

Darrell was born in Saint John, N.B., eldest son of the late James and Margaret (Duffy) Lingley, on May 31, 1957.

Darrell spent a lot of his years working with troubled teens in group homes. Also, 15 years at MLHL, a job he loved, and considered all of his co-workers to be his friends.

Darrell’s favourite past time was pool, and arranging tournaments, and he was good at it! He loved to play pranks and tell jokes. He laughed hardest when he could say “gotcha”.

He is survived by daughters, Kelly and Krystal; grandson, Ethan; his siblings Charlene Munn (Les Druet), Herbie Lingley (Addie), Sonya Lingley (Phil Simon); his nephew, Jimmy; three nieces, Ashley, Brenda, and Brittany; and his special aunt, Sherry Theriault (Dave).

Besides his parents and many more family members, Darrell was predeceased by his brother Wayne.

We believe there was a great reunion in heaven on this Easter morning.

A private graveside funeral will be held at a later date, as per Darrell’s wishes.
