Daniel Michael LaBerge, of Upper Derby, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 64.

Born in Toronto,ON, he was the son of the late Ambrose and Anne (Palko) LaBerge. He was a retired Safety Supervisor from the mill and a member of the John Howard Society, Miramichi Youth House, and the Methadone Committee at the Miramichi Regional Hospital.

He will be sadly missed by his wife Linda (Raymond) LaBerge; daughter Melanie McCarthy (David) of Stratford, PEI; sister Louise LaBerge (Jerry LeBlanc) of Fredericton; three brothers Bill (Margo) of Ottawa,ON, Mike (Jerry Lynn) of Calgary, AB, and Claude (Anne) of Miramichi; six nieces and nephews Jonathan (Nadine), Jaclyn, Danny, Jessica (John-William), Erin (Cole) and Peter (Amy); and one great nephew Thomas.

Besides his parents, Dan was predeceased by his nephew Andrew.

A reception to celebrate Dan's life will take place on Saturday, September 27, 2014, from 2 to 4 pm, at Northumberland Funeral Home.

Donations in his memory may be made to the Boy Scouts of New Brunswick: Miramichi Chapter.
