Clare Young, of Miramichi, surrounded by her loving husband and daughter, passed away at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, after a brief illnesss, at the age of 60.
Born in Miramichi on May 30, 1959, she was the daughter of Phyllis Lynch (Bass) of Miramichi Senior Citizens Home and the late Clarence Lynch, also of Miramichi.
Clare will be forever cherished and deeply missed by her husband David, daughter Stephanie, grandsons, Zachary, Blace, Jonah and Samson, sisters Jo Ann Lynch, Shirley (Theodore Matheson), and Marilyn (Donnie Galley), all of Miramichi, mother-in-law, Theresa Young (Wilson), of Miramichi, two brothers-in-law, Richard (Eileen) and Arthur (Artie), both of Miramichi; five sisters-in-law Sandra Wentzell of Vancouver, Cathy (Les Lewis) of Miramichi, Margaret (Ed Hakenholz) of Wichita, Kansas, Diane (Ron Forrest), and Tammy (Lee Engler) of Moncton; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides her father, she was predeceased by her children Steven and Sherry Young; father-in-law Edward Young; sister-in-law Sharon Young; and brother-in-law Eric Wentzell.
After her children were grown, Clare worked at various jobs in the community and for many years worked as an administator in the family business with her husband David. Clare was presently employed at Breatheasy/Vitalaire in Miramichi as an office administrator; she will be sadly missed by her co-workers.
Clare's deep, abiding trust in the Lord and love for her family, sustained her through the loss of her beloved children, Steven and Sherry. Her faith was strong and true, as she continued to serve the Lord for many years leading worship services and sharing her gift of music in the community, with the love of her life, David. Clare will be fondly remembered for her kind, generous, humble and gentle spirit.
The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Wednesday, August 28, 2019, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm. The funeral service will be held on Thursday, August 29, 2019, at The Point Church, at 2 pm, with Pastor Geoff McLean and Rev. Willard Watling officiating.
