Carl Noel Simon

Carl Simon, of Eel Ground, passed away peacefully at Percy's Place on Wednesday, August 26, 2026, at the age of 65.

Born in Miramichi, he was the son of the late Noel and Suzanne (Jerome) Simon. He worked as a seasonal security guard and was a member of St Joachim's Roman Catholic Church.

He will be greatly missed by his wife, Arlene Denston of Eel Ground; daughter, Sierra Simon and son, Tony Dixon, both of Eel Ground; sister, Diane Jerome (Art St Cyr) of Eel Ground; brothers, Roderick Simon (Rita) of Miramichi and Harvey Simon of Eel Ground; brothers-in-law Joe Crossman of Eel Ground and Joseph Anthony Ward of Eel Ground; five grandchildren; nieces and nephews, Katerina Paul, Arthur Simon, Aaron Simon, Jonah Simon, Reece Simon, Jonathan Ward, Malcolm Ward, Allison Ward, Kolby Simonson, Darian Martinez (Jessica Savoie), River Ward (Jacob Morris), Phillip Cloud, Tristan Ward, Corinne Stout, Walter Jerome, Cyrus Dewitt, and Toby Russo; special great nieces and nephew, Nicole Simon, Roman Francis, and Savanah Simon; as well as several great nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Joan Ward, Ann Crossman, and Gloria Simon, and his half-brother Vincent Cloud (Freda Joe).

Visitation will take place at Northumberland Funeral Home on Friday, August 28, 2026, from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, August 30, 2026, at 12 pm, at St Joachim's Roman Catholic Church, in Eel Ground, with Father Sylvanus Omali officiating. Interment will take place in the church cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to a memorial of one's choice.
