Michael Blair McCarthy, of 113 St Patrick's Drive, Miramichi, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2013, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital at the age of 76.

Blair was the son of the late Michael Daniel Joseph McCarthy and Margaret Casey.

He was a scaler for both Repap and Anderson's Mills,was a member of the Knights of Columbus,the wood lot association,and a good friend of Bill W.

He is survived by four daughters Patty of Cocagne,Margaret Gallanger (Gleason) of Boyle Alberta,Susan Fortier (Robert) of Sutton Ontario, and Jennifer Kingston (Mark) of Miramichi; one son Paul (Diana Daley) of Miramichi;16 grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

He was predeceased by one son Michael,infant grandson Benjamin Gallanger and a brother William.

Visitation will be held on Monday April 1st at Northumberland Funeral Home,102 Pleasant Street,from 2-4 and 7-9.Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday April 2nd at 11 am from St Patrick's Roman Catholic Church with Father Claude Daigle officiating.
Burial will be at a later date.
