  • Bernard Francis Manderville, of Renous, passed away on Tuesday, January 29, 2019, at the age of 68.

    Born in Miramichi, he was the son of the late John and Doris (Donovan) Manderville.

    He worked at Heath Steel Mines and was a woods workers all of his life; from cutting and hauling wood, to most recently he was in the wreath/white birch business.

    Bernard was a member of Saint Bridget's Roman Catholic Church, in Renous, and also a member of "The Coffee Club".

    He will be greatly missed by his wife Deborah (Gillespie) Manderville of Renous; two daughters Stacey Duffy and Roberta (Perry Duffy) both of Renous; one son Lance Manderville of Renous; two sisters Bernice Gillespie and Ann (Stephen Dawson) both of Renous; six brothers Duncan, Burtis (Mary-Jane), Johnny (Lillian), David, Gary (Kathy) all of Renous, and Ricky (Margaret Ann) of White Rapids; mother-in-law Annie Gillespie of Renous; three grandchildren Fallon Duffy, Meranda Hallihan, and Eldon Duffy; great granddaughter Skye Doyle; and several nieces and nephews.

    Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his son-in-law Shannon Duffy; sister Dori Close; brother Carmen Manderville; special nephew Cody Gillespie; special niece Vicky Close; and his father-in-law Bobby Gillespie.

    The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, 102 Pleasant Street, Miramichi, NB, on Saturday, February 2, 2019, from 7 to 9 pm, and on Sunday, February 3, 2019, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm.

    Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, February 4, 2019, at 11 am, from Saint Bridget's Roman Catholic Church, in Renous, with Father Vincent Donovan officiating.

    As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, IWK, or to a memorial of one's choice.
