Bernard "Bernie" Frederick Jones, of White Rapids, passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2022, at Losier Hall, at the age of 82.

Born in Verdun, Quebec, he was the son of the late Bernard and Louise (Unwin) Jones. He worked as an elevator mechanic prior to his retirement and was an honorary member of the International Union of Elevator Constructors for 63 years.

He will be greatly missed by his four sons Jason (Debbie) of White Rapids, David (Joy) of Blackville, Bruce (Andrea) of Vancouver, and Bernie (Sharin) of Vancouver; daughter Tammie Walsh (Randy) of Oshawa; eight grandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his beloved wife Patricia (Casey) Jones and sister Shirley MacKenzie (Alan) of Brockville.

The family will receive relatives and friends at St Andrew's United Church Hall, in Blackville, on Saturday, November 12, 2022, from 2 pm to 4 pm. Interment will take place in St Marks Cemetery, in Quarryville, at a later date.
