Audrey Black, of Miramichi, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family, on Sunday, November 17, 2019, at the age of 91.

Born in Holtville, NB, he was the son of the late Hugh and Alice (Munn) Black. He was a retired bus driver and a member of the United Church.

He will be greatly missed by his three daughters Sharon (Everette Doiron), Grace (Harvey Murray), and Brenda (Daniel McKeown) all of Miramichi; his son Glenn Black (Brenda) of Miramichi; four sisters Agnes (Lawrence Stevens) of Miramichi, Irene Dickison of Fredericton, Connie (Joe Allen) of Miramichi, and Noreen Bemrose of Fredericton; 11 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his wife Dorothy Black; two infant sons Leonard and Paul; two sisters Sadie and Leola; and six brothers Eldon, Manley, Hedley, Laurie, Hugh, and Harry.

The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, on Tuesday, November 19, 2018, from 4 to 6 pm. The funeral service will follow, at 6:30 pm, from Northumberland Funeral Home Chapel, with Reverend Alice Szëmok officiating.

As expressions of sympathy, donations may be made to St James and St John United Church, or to a memorial of one’s choice.
