Arthur Breau

C'est avec tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de M. Arthur Breau, survenu à l'hôpital de Miramichi, mercredi le 8 avril 2026, à l'âge de 89 ans et 11 mois. Il demeurait autrefois à Tabusintac. Né le 23 avril 1936, il était le fils de feu Luc Breau et de feu Béatrice Doiron.

Il laisse dans le deuil la mère de ses enfants Marguerite Babin; 3 fils: Normand, Michel (Simonne Stewart), et Paul (Tracy Higgs); ses petits enfants: Alexandre, Claire, Josiane; ses frères et soeurs: Yvonne (feu Amand Savoie), Hélène (feu Freddie Ross), Anna (Antoine Martin), Adolphe (Victorine Doiron), May (Venance Savoie), Emma (feu Ronald Doucet), et Gerard (Evangeline Comeau); ses filleul(es): Gerard Breau, Claude Durelle, Rhéal Babin, Eloise Breau et Loraine Breau; une nièce, Gisèle Martin, qui voyait à ses besoins, ainsi que plusieurs neveux et nièces, beaux-frères et belles soeurs, cousins, cousines, et ses amis de Tim Hortons.

Ses frères Alphée (1985), Edouard (2026), Albert (2021), Albénie (2025) et Joseph en bas âge, ainsi que deux petits-fils Chad (2021) et Luc (en bas âge) l'ont précédé dans la tombe.

M. Breau était charpentier de métier et il n'avait rien à son épreuve, il a aussi fait de la pêche en Nouvelle-Écosse. Ses passe-temps étaient "wood working" dans sa shop et jouer au crib avec la famille et les amis ainsi que la pêche dans son petit bateau.

Je voudrais remercier la Résidence Riverbend pour leur accueil chaleureux durant son séjour avec eux, ainsi que le Dr. Russell à l'urgence de Miramichi et Dr. Kruger pour ses bons soins.

À la demande du défunt, il n'y aura pas de visite au salon. Les funérailles seront célébrées jeudi le 23 avril à 11 h à l'église St-Bernard de Neguac.

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Arthur Breau, which occurred at the Miramichi Regional Hospital on Wednesday, April 8, 2026, at the age of 89 years and 11 months. He formerly resided in Tabusintac. Born on April 23, 1936, he was the son of the late Luc Breau and the late Béatrice Doiron.

He is survived by the mother of his children, Marguerite Babin; three sons: Normand, Michel (Simonne Stewart), and Paul (Tracy Higgs); his grandchildren: Alexandre, Claire, and Josiane; his brothers and sisters: Yvonne (late Amand Savoie), Hélène (late Freddie Ross), Anna (Antoine Martin), Adolphe (Victorine Doiron), May (Venance Savoie), Emma (late Ronald Doucet), and Gerard (Evangeline Comeau); his godchildren: Gerard Breau, Claude Durelle, Rhéal Babin, Eloise Breau, and Loraine Breau; one niece, Gisèle Martin, who cared for him, as well as many nephews and nieces, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, cousins, and his friends from Tim Hortons.

He was predeceased by his brothers Alphée (1985), Edouard (2026), Albert (2021), Albénie (2025), and Joseph in infancy, as well as two grandsons, Chad (2021) and Luc (in infancy).

Mr. Breau was a carpenter by trade and could do anything; he also worked in the fishing industry in Nova Scotia. His hobbies included woodworking in his shop, playing cribbage with family and friends, and fishing in his small boat.

The family would like to thank the staff of Riverbend Residence for their warm welcome during his stay, as well as Dr. Russell at the Miramichi emergency department and Dr. Kruger for their excellent care.

At the request of the deceased, there will be no visitation at the funeral home. The funeral will be held on Thursday, April 23 at 11 a.m. at St. Bernard Church in Neguac.
