Anne Theresa (Barrieau) Butler, wife of Pat Butler, of Douglasfield, passed away on Sunday, January 13, 2019, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 68.

She was the daughter of the late Peter and Gladys (Donovan) Barrieau and a member of Saint Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Nelson.

Anne worked for the Provincial Government and Federal Government for 35 years.

She will be sadly missed by her husband Pat and their two sons Troy (Dawn) of Moncton and Mark (Connie) of Saint George; three sisters Nancy (Ken McIntosh), Pamela (Tony Layton), and Cathy (Paul Hamilton) all of Miramichi; four brothers Ron (Cheryl), Pete (Barb Walsh), Gerry (Barb) and Edward (Helen) all of Miramichi; four grandchildren Emily, Cole, Maggie and William; brother-in-law Stoney Malley of Miramichi; sister-in-law Marion Barrieau of Miramichi; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Anne was predeceased by her sister Janice Malley, sister-in-law Julie Barrieau, brother George Barrieau, and her parents-in-law Leonard and Theresa Butler.

The family will receive relatives and friends from Northumberland Funeral Home, 102 Pleasant Street, Miramichi, on Tuesday, January 15, 2019, from 7 to 9 pm, and on Wednesday, January 16, 2019, from 2 to 4 pm and 7 to 9 pm.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday, January 17, 2019, at 11 am, from Saint Patrick's Roman Catholic Church, Nelson, with Father Arnie Hachey officiating.
