Amy Adeline Gilks

March 12, 1934 — January 19, 2024

Amy Adeline Gilks, of Blackville, passed away peacefully at Percy’s Place, on Friday, January 19, 2024, at the age of 89.

Born in Blissfield, she was the daughter of the late Ranceford and Sarah (Fair) Gilks. She was a retired teacher and a member of Holy Trinity Anglican Church. She was also a member of the Maple Leaf Senior Citizens Club, in Blackville.

Amy was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She will be greatly missed by her special friend Jarmine Hayes.

She was predeceased by her parents; her husband Frank Myers; four sisters Charlotte Gilks, Olive Gilks, Mary Conners, and Barbara Burns; and four brothers Osburne (Ozzy), Merle, Herbert, and Maurice.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A graveside service will take place in Ford Hill Cemetery, in Blissfield, at a later date.
