Alvin Daigle

C’est avec une profonde tristesse que nous annonçons le décès de M. Alvin (Vevin) Daigle, survenu entouré de l’amour de sa famille, au Percy’s Place de Miramichi, le lundi 4 août 2025, à l’âge de 76 ans.

Époux bien-aimé d’Antoinette Daigle (née Martin), il demeurait à Baie-Sainte-Anne. Né le 22 juillet 1949, il était le fils de feu Émile Daigle et de feu Élodie Manuel. Outre son épouse, il laisse dans le deuil ses deux enfants : Juline (Stéphane) et Martin (Annick); ses quatre petits-enfants qu’il chérissait profondément : Marc-André, Jean-Denis, Max et Sam; ainsi qu’un compagnon fidèle, son chien Tucker.

Il laisse également dans le deuil ses deux sœurs et ses sept frères : Léola (feu Norbert), Julie-Anne (Éric), Flavien (Gertie), Hilaire (Sandra), Bertrand (Rose-Alma), Vincent, Cyril (Sandra), Émile (Diane) et Rodrigue (Rose-May); plusieurs filleuls, neveux, nièces, cousins et cousines; ainsi que de nombreux amis et collègues rencontrés au fil de sa carrière et de son engagement bénévole dans la communauté.

Deux sœurs, Cécilia (Léo-Paul) et Claudette (feu Normand), l’ont précédé dans la tombe. La famille recevra parents et amis à compter de 14 h, le jeudi 7 août, au Salon Sr. Blandine-Martin, situé à l’arrière de l’église, au 5351, route 117, Baie-Sainte-Anne. Les funérailles seront célébrées à l’église Sainte-Anne de Baie-Sainte-Anne, le vendredi 8 août à 15 h.

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mr. Alvin (Vevin) Daigle, who passed away surrounded by the love of his family at Percy’s Place in Miramichi on Monday, August 4, 2025, at the age of 76.

Beloved husband of Antoinette Daigle (née Martin), he resided in Baie-Sainte-Anne. Born on July 22, 1949, he was the son of the late Emile Daigle and the late Elodie Manuel. He is survived by his loving wife, Antoinette; his two children: Juline (Stéphane) and Martin (Annick); and his four cherished grandchildren: Marc-André, Jean-Denis, Max, and Sam. He also leaves behind a special dog, Tucker.

Alvin is also mourned by his two sisters and seven brothers: Léola (late Norbert), Julie-Anne (Eric), Flavien (Gertie), Hilaire (Sandra), Bertrand (Rose-Alma), Vincent, Cyril (Sandra), Emile (Diane), and Rodrigue (Rose-May); as well as many godchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and countless friends and colleagues from his career and his many years of volunteer work in the community.

He was predeceased by two sisters: Cécilia (Léo-Paul) and Claudette (late Normand). Family and friends are invited to pay their respects starting at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 7, at the Sr. Blandine-Martin Funeral Room, located behind the church at 5351 Route 117, Baie-Sainte-Anne. The funeral service will be held at Sainte-Anne Church in Baie-Sainte-Anne on Friday, August 8, at 3:00 p.m.

Visiting hours: Thursday, August 7: from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Friday, August 8: from 1:00 p.m. until departure for the funeral at 3:00 p.m.
