Aksel Reinholdt Zederkoff Jessen, husband of Grethe Jessen, passed away on Monday, December 14, 2015, at the Miramichi Regional Hospital, at the age of 99.

Born in Denmark, he was the son of the late Jes Peder and Dortea (Hansen) Jessen. Aksel worked for the railroad until his retirement and
was a member of Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

He is survived by his wife Grethe; four children Karen Hunter, Paul Jessen, Fred Jessen (Kathy), and Esther Jessen; seven grandchildren JoAnne Valdez (Salvador), Jason Hunter, Candice Totino (Luciano), Sonya, Nils Jessen (Brittani), Caitlyn (Matthew), Lars Jessen; and four great grandchildren Heather, Haylee, Reece and Riley Valdez.
Funeral service will take place at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses , on Saturday, December 19, 2015, at 2 pm, with Brent Brown officiating.
